Vax'ildan took the hand away from him quickly - certainly not afraid of being flailed at, but thinking to make himself less of an instinctual threat. Whatever dream Alcuin had been caught up in the grips of, it seemed loathe to turn him loose. Anything that made him flinch so hard from out of his rest didn't need his clumsy helping it along.
"Alcuin, wake up. You're dreaming still." Vax kept himself back a bit and hoped to soothe with his tone instead.
